Warner Bros. originally came up with Foxy to combat the popularity of Mickey Mouse. He didn't make it very far because he was pretty much a blatant ripoff of Mickey and Oswald. Bosko... I guess he was just forgotten... Poor Bosko... But he did appear in a Tiny Toons cartoon!
